The blood test I booked with Randox (as part of their complete women’s health package)
The test I took was the Everywoman Complete, which is designed to give you a more complete picture of your health rather than looking at one isolated result.
It measures up to 150 data points across a pretty extensive range of health areas, with personalised insights designed to help you spot potential imbalances and make more informed choices around your health and wellbeing.
And it goes beyond just one blood test. The appointment also included my personal health measurements, body composition analysis and a urine sample.
Pre-testing notes
I booked online in a few clicks, without needing a GP referral, and simply chose the Randox Health location that worked for me. Conveniently, there’s one near our West London office, so I could fit it around a normal working day.
You can also change your appointment up to 24 hours ahead of the test time. I actually moved mine because I was particularly interested in seeing my hormone results. Randox recommends testing between days two and five after the start of your period, ideally day three, if you’re interested in your hormone results.
More coming on why that really mattered in my case, when we get to my results.
The appointment itself
You need to fast before the test and make sure you’re well hydrated, so this isn’t one to squeeze in after your morning coffee and breakfast.
The actual appointment took me around 15 minutes, although I’d budget 30 minutes so you can complete everything without feeling rushed. They:
- took my vitals
- noted my height and weight
- did a body composition analysis
- took a number of blood samples
- asked me for a urine sample.
It was all very easy and straightforward.
PakarPBN
A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.
In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.
The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
